I woke up this morning with this amazing realization that I wanted to share with you on this day of the Second Anniversary of our public rituals for Spirit’s Edge: A Seeker’s Salon, and the formation of the community. Wow. Two years of public rituals already!

It has been the most incredible, beautiful and powerful journey. I remember when this was a dream, back when Spirit’s Edge was conceived on Jan. 1, 2010.
I remember when folks were asking us to do public rituals starting about a year after that, when the idea of public rituals was still just a thought and before the Spirit’s Edge: A Seeker’s Salon community was born.

I led an expanded ritual with my coven at my home at Beltane 2012, where I invited a wider group of folks outside our coven, as a preparation for and precursor to starting these public rituals later that year.
We formally initiated the Spirit’s Edge: A Seeker’s Salon and birthed the community in a private ritual on the night of Hekate’s Feast in August 2012.

Two years later at Beltane 2014 – this spring – we performed an updated version of that same Beltane ritual, and it was an incredible night!
Then of course, we formally initiated the Spirit’s Edge Shamonial Tradition and Temple just a month ago at our Lammas celebration. And of course all of the field trips we have organized since December 2013, and all of the online rituals since we started them on Jan. 1, 2014. And more!!
Wow. As the founder of Spirit’s Edge, I cannot begin to express what joy this brings to my heart to see these dreams manifest in physical form and to see this amazing community grow and flourish!

As we approach our ritual tonight at Mabon, the Cornucopia that we had on the altar at our first public ritual at Mabon 2012 will be on the altar. It has Indian Corn from my family’s Century Farm, and carries the blessings of my ancestors who walked that land, along with a simple sign and remembrance – “Harvest Blessings.”
It contains the blessings of that first harvest of our public rituals that night, and it sits in The Witch’s Croft, which is my magickal teaching and ritual space, and also serves as the heart of the work of our Mystery School.
It sits in a place of honor as a reminder of what we started that night at Mabon two years ago, what we have built, and the community that we are still building together.
Tonight as we celebrate the Second Harvest at our Mabon gathering, and as we celebrate the Second Anniversary of the Spirit’s Edge: A Seeker’s Salon community and its public rituals, I go back to those words.
“Harvest Blessings”

We will do this tonight as a group of course, celebrating the harvest of the blessings of this community. I also will be celebrating this marker along my path with a sense of awe, love and deep gratitude for this amazing harvest.
A blessed Mabon indeed!
Love and blessings,
Shea,
Spirit’s Edge Founder/Minister/HPS
