New Year’s Full Moon Ritual, A New Dream

Welcome to a new year of online rituals offered by Spirit’s Edge! Wishing you all a prosperous and love-filled New Year! I would love to have you all share your experiences with this ritual on the Facebook event page, along with your candle photos or altar photos as well! Click HERE to join the event page.

The official “start” time for this online-only ritual is 11 a.m. Central time on Sunday, January 4 under the waxing Full Moon and on Sunday for the Sun, prosperity and success. Yet any time on Sunday will be o.k. and will catch the current – think of it like a wave.

The only supplies needed are a white candle and you! If you want to set up an altar for correspondences with the Moon and Sun, love and prosperity, or with what you intend to grow in the coming year, that would be great, though it’s not required.

This ritual is inspired by my recent New Year’s journey of transformation through the double-headed Serpent at Teotihuacan, led by don Jose Ruiz, don Miguel Ruiz, Jr. and don Miguel Ruiz.

I send you Love, Gratitude and Blessings from my heart to yours, and I hope that you find inspiration from these words to find your own truth within, to create your own dream anew. Remembering that it is your dream to create, releasing yourself from the ties that bind you to the Earth, to the ground, allowing yourself to soar into your new dream.

You have the power. It has been within you all along. You are your own creator. You have the power to create your own life. All you need to do is claim your power. Create an Intent to stand in your power.

With this act of power, you plant the seed. Take up the Sword, find your Truth, and manifest your Dream.

Cast Circle:

(using your hand or a wand or blade, cast the circle three times, once for each world, envisioning any color of light you choose, the stand in the center creating sacred space with the closing line)

I cast this circle in the Upperworld, shining the light of the heavens into this sacred space. I cast this circle in the Underworld, the power of the depths emanating into this sacred space. I cast this circle in the Middleworld, as the compassionate, helping spirits gather ‘round this sacred space. I create sacred space between all worlds, a world where all is one, all is safe and all is possible. So mote it be.

Glorious sheen of Full Moon’s glow Wearing your cloak, white as snow Shining on us, dreams of beauty bright Bless this rite with your love and light Gratitude we send you now From our hearts we know no bound For you are always present here Flowing around us with love so dear Light like water shimmer and shine Cleansing us gently, hearts do unbind Your light freely given, to bless us this day In our hearts, we bid you to stay. Guide us now in this rite And in all we do with your light. With love and gratitude, we welcome you here. To ring in this prosperous New Year. Hail and welcome!

Call to the Lord/God:

Hail to the Lord! In your glorious light, The Sun burning on high, oh so bright Within and without, it is all the same For your light is ours, our own burning flame. Join us here now in this rite, to welcome in the New Year with all your might. Joy and splendor and mirth on high Your flaming sword cuts across the sky Aiding us to gently remove all that blocks us from our truth For our truth lies within, if we only dare to enter in With your courage, lent to ours We know our futures are bright as stars As you come with sword and light, Guide us now in this rite With love and gratitude, we welcome you here. To ring in this prosperous New Year. Hail and welcome!

The Working:

[Light your white candle; let it burn if you can. If you need to snuff it later, then you may say something like “this working continues on the astral plane as it has on the physical plane” and then when you re-light it say “this working continues on the physical plane as it has on the astral plane”]

The Full Moon shines brightly in the heavens, the sight of the Lady and her Love Yet she is reflective by nature. Her clear pools shimmering full and bright. What do we see when we gaze into her light? We see her, yes, but we see much more. We see ourselves in her light. Our own reflection in her eyes. It is our own love that we adore. As we gaze upon her, we see the light, and we know that in her eyes we are also burning bright. We fill our cup, our heart of Love. And as we do, we know all is one. From this place, we create our dream. Of all we wish that is now unseen. We create it here and now in this place. As we join together, pouring Love into this space.

The Lord he shines also in the Lady’s eyes. He plants his seeds of light in the skies. His reflection is seen on her milky white. Their light is joined, illuminating and freeing us from all lies. We see the truth deep inside. The truth of dreams of love and light. Of all we hope and wish we might. Together now, with his sword, we gently cut away all cords. We unbind ourselves, freeing us to fly on high, like the Eagle in the sky. As we do, we join with Spirit, within and without, and all that is dearest. We manifest now all of our goals. We plant the seeds, the field is sown. We cast our wishes onto the winds. And know that this year, will bring them in. Creating our dream anew in this place. As we join together, pouring love into this space.

As we enter this New Year, under the light of the Lady and her moon, And on this day of the Sun, filled with the light of the Lord We know that all is possible in this light and is for the highest good of all in this rite.

[Take a moment to watch the candle burn, and as you do, envision the light growing bigger and greater in your mind’s eye. You may wish to meditate or silently commune with the Lord and Lady, and with their combined light that lives and breathes within you. As the light from the candle glows, the light grows in this New Year, and the light of the Full Moon fills your cup and brings power to create your dream anew, to manifest your dreams. The Lord and Lady bring power to manifest your dreams, to tap into your own power within, power to dream yourself anew, creating a new dream for your life.]
