A Seeker’s Salon is a spiritual community of connection, instruction and spiritual wisdom for seekers and practitioners of alternative spiritual paths. We offer Earth-based rituals to celebrate the turning of the Wheel of the Year, to feed the Spirit that dwells within us.
Thoughts on the Edge is a blog by Shea Morgan. Shea inspires seekers to find their own shining gems of Spirit within, Come to the Edge where Spirit dwells; following the wandering Witch's path of magickal musings.

What a fabulous weekend at Pagan Picnic!
So many folks to thank! A *huge* thank you goes out
to all of our Spirit's Edge folks who helped with
the Opening and Closing rituals, helped us
set up for our workshops and also who volunteered
at the (unaffiliated) Temple of Witchcraft booth!
Be sure to check out this video on both Spirit's Edge
and the separate Temple activities at Picnic!
According to one Picnic organizer, the Pagan Picnic
has up to 6,000 folks come to the event each year.
We are very excited about next year's Pagan Picnic 2014,
as we will instead be doing our very first Spirit's Edge booth!

Spirit's Edge: A Seeker's Salon was honored to do the Opening Ritual on Saturday, June 8, and the somewhat rushed (due to weather) Closing Ritual on June 9. Many thanks to all those that joined us to make such a great event possible! Opening Ritual had over 130 folks participating! What a beautiful circle of community - we were so blessed and honored to be a part of it! The Closing Ritual had some very dedicated folks willing to brave the weather to close out Picnic in style! Many thanks to Emrys for leading these rituals for Spirit's Edge: A Seeker's Salon!
Though Spirit's Edge is not affiliated with the Temple of Witchcraft, Spirit's Edge founders happen to follow that tradition. Thus, the Opening & Closing Rituals and the four workshops by Spirit's Edge also helped publicize the Temple booth, resulting in much more traffic to that booth, and more funds raised, which was really exciting! I wonder how much more we would have broken our record if Picnic had not had to close four hours early due to weather on Day 2?!
My Journeying with Death: A Shamanic Perspective on the Dying Process class on Day 1, and the Journeying Through the Eyes of Animals class on Day 2, were such incredible experiences for me! I am truly blessed. The stories and experiences in the class by those present touched my heart. ♥ Much gratitude for everyone that attended and for sharing their stories! We had about 30 folks at each class!

On the Temple of Witchcraft booth (not affiliated with Spirit's Edge), many thanks to the volunteers, those crafting items and those visiting and supporting the booth for the third year in a row! With your help, we raised roughly $779!! **Despite closing four hours early for storms**, we exceeded our gross receipts of last year by about $120! Last year we brought in $661.
As storms were expected, we broke down the booth more than normal on Day 1, so more work that our opening crew had to do on Day 2. And with the sudden weather coming upon us, the hustle to break the booth down in record time, the teamwork involved was incredible. Many thanks to our volunteers!
Many thanks to those crafting new items for the Temple booth this year! We sold over 80 raffle tickets for the Prosperity basket made and donated by Epona and Shea, included items such as specially anointed candles, a green mini crystal wand, prosperity bath salts, and the Witch's Coin by Christopher, which had his "live" signature thanks to the great bookplate artwork donated by Mickie Mueller for use at Pagan Picnic. The winner of this fabulous magickal basket has already been contacted and was very happy! Definitely check out Mickie's artwork online at http://www.mickiemuellerart.com/! We really appreciate her donating the artwork for the bookplates for the Temple booth.
We touched so many this weekend, and in turn, we were each so incredibly blessed by the way we were touched in return. There truly are not words adequate for the beauty of these moments. Many thanks to all those who make Picnic possible - all those who organize and work so hard on this massive task.
We send our love and gratitude out to everyone that made this weekend so amazing! We only wish there was time to do an individual post and email to each and every person ... our cups truly overflow!
Love and blessings,
